I will work with you every step of the way to create a unique, personalised ceremony for the person you wish to commemorate so that you can say goodbye to them in the most fitting way.
We will meet to discuss the ceremony as a whole. I will ask you questions about various aspects of your loved one's life to ensure that the final ceremony truly reflects their essence.
You will be able to include elements in the ceremony that you feel best represent the person you wish to commemorate, along with their beliefs.
This might be songs by their favourite singer, poetry, or religious elements such as a hymn. If you or any other family and friends wish to participate in the ceremony, I can work with you to make this possible.
I will send you the final ceremony content ahead of the funeral so that you can check it. Although part of my role is to offer guidance on content, the final say regarding this will always be yours.
On the day of your loved one's funeral , I will lead the ceremony and help you say goodbye to them. I will also offer you a full written version of the ceremony to keep afterwards.
A growing number of people are planning their own funerals. The reasons for this range from wanting to leave family with fewer arrangements to make, to having the desire to make their final mark on the world.
Whatever your reasons, I will work with you and your family to create the ceremony best suited to your wishes. We will talk about various details of your life that you may wish to include in the ceremony. We will also discuss content you may wish to include, such as your favourite poetry or music.
I will then write a draft of the ceremony, based on the details we have discussed, and send it to you to check. Once you are satisfied with the content, I will provide you with the final version in both electronic and hard copy format to keep safe.
We can also discuss the options available for getting someone to lead the ceremony when the time comes.
After your loved one's funeral, you may wish to gather in a small group to scatter or bury their ashes. I am on hand to help you craft a short, intimate ceremony to say a final goodbye to them.
The ceremony can be conducted in a range of locations. For example, a place that was special to your loved one, in a crematorium garden of remembrance, or in a beautiful countryside location.
Whatever your requirements, we can work together to create a truly special final farewell for the person you wish to commemorate.
